Q. What medium do you use to create your art?

A. For my hand made pieces I use Acrylic and Gauche, based on what I am creating.  My paper Mache is a homemade recipe.  Most of my printed art is digital art that I create using Photoshop, and my very old trusty Wacom tablet.

Q.  How long does it take to create a piece?

A.  Different pieces take different time.  Traditional pieces like Tanjore painting, can easily take up to 2 months, with the board preparation and relief work taking more than half the time.  Most painting time is based on the size of the piece I make.  Larger the piece, longer the time.  Paper Mache too, takes a while because more than half of it goes in drying the various layers, I create in making the piece.

Q.  Would you do a custom piece for me?

A. Yes, However I will be selective, based on the time it takes.  I also have a consistent art style that I will work with.  Please keep in mind that custom pieces take time and please plan ahead. For any questions about ordering custom pieces please contact artandcraftmeena@gmail.com .

Q.  Do you take Art classes?

A.  I plan on starting classes in the near future.  I will keep you posted once I work out the nitty-gritty of it.

Q.  How can I make my art skills better.

A.  Don’t be afraid to create.  No one is perfect from the get go.  Behind every perfect piece is a critical eye that is not satisfied.  Just keep on creating until it becomes a habit, and you shed the illusion of perfection, and start seeing the positives in your piece that you want to incorporate into your creative arsenal.
